Maine State Historian Earle Shettleworth will bring Hallowell’s past to life with a program featuring a selection of rare 19th-century photographs preserved in the Hubbard Free Library.

The photographs come from four historic albums in the library’s archives and include views of Water Street commercial buildings, historic homes, and Hallowell street scenes.

Shettleworth will provide historical context and share stories behind the images, offering a unique look at Hallowell’s architectural, commercial, and community history.
