HOTK Pride Pine & Sturgeon design
The first time I saw a rainbow flag with the Maine Pine design, it was flying on the side of the Maine Local Market on Ferry Street. Looking down from Water Street, the flag had the Kennebec as a background. It was just a short jump of imagination to envision a jumping Sturgeon on it.
I am offering this design on Coffee Mugs and Coasters (ceramic & MDF) for Pride Month at Michel Paul Artists Studio. Since I am not a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am donating the profits to the Hallowell Pride Alliance (HPA).
Coffee Mugs $16.00 ($6.00 donated to HPA)
Ceramic Coasters $10.00 ($4.00 donated to HPA)
MDF Coasters $8.00 ($3.00 donated to HPA)
The mugs come with a variety of sentiments including Pride, Peace, Dignity, Respect, Resist and Love.
They can be customized with your name or a different sentiment for an additional $4.00.
Note: This is an independent effort. The Hallowell Pride Alliance has not endorsed this product in anyway.
Full disclosure: I calculated the donations in round terms so that the gallery gets its fee (because the owners are part of the community and they have a very modest fee to begin with) and I recoup production costs (which are fairly high given these are handmade). So, after the gallery fee is deducted, HPA is getting at least half of the proceeds. Yeah, no one is getting rich off this. I just hope you enjoy the mugs or coasters and we can all feel like we are doing a little something for the cause.
I just don’t want to be like Uncle Baby Billy…
