Our Story: The Water Street Project

This website aims to feature the businesses and events in downtown Hallowell, which largely occur on historic Water Street. The intention is to facilitate cooperation between local businesses and organizations and promote their efforts to make downtown Hallowell a great place to visit.

To that end, I have redesigned this website, formerly “Hallowell On The Kennebec”, into “Water Street Hallowell” and narrowed its focus to events happening on or near Water Street from Granite City Park to the Boat Launch. Of course, we won’t forget our neighbors at Bolley’s Franks, Cafe De Bangkok, or the River Studio. However, the focus will be on the “walking-around area” of Water Street.
