Barbara Williams
Leah Sampson is a familiar face in Hallowell. She’s lived here for three decades, raised her kids
here and operated the Maine House for the last ten years. She said, when she saw the job post, “It
sounded like the perfect opportunity to serve the people I know and love in the best City on Earth,

Leah spends much of her time getting up to speed on the many office procedures,
including those for motor vehicles and vital records. She also registers vehicles and boats
and helps people who come into City Hall for everything from signing off on building permits,
taking summer rec applications, handling Hallowell Res parking permits for
non-residents and approving
